Terms of Service
Effective date: August 23, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of saffna.com and related applications and services operated by Saffna ("Saffna," "we," "us," or "our") (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing the Service, or submitting files through a request link, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.
2. The Service
Saffna is a client file request product. Workspace users can define what files they need, share a request link, receive client submissions, have uploads scanned for malware, and deliver accepted files to a Saffna inbox or a connected Google Drive folder.
We may update, add, or remove features over time. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available indefinitely.
3. Accounts and workspaces
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and within workspaces you control or administer.
You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear compromised, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.
Clients who upload through a public or shared request link do not need a Saffna account, but they must still comply with the acceptable use rules in these Terms.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the Service. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.
5. Your content and responsibilities
"Content" means files, text, metadata, request configurations, invitation details, and other materials submitted to or created through the Service.
You retain ownership of your Content. You grant Saffna a limited license to host, process, transmit, scan, display, and deliver Content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent and warrant that:
- You have all rights and permissions needed to submit, request, collect, and process the Content
- Your use of the Service complies with applicable laws, including privacy and data-protection laws
- Client requests only ask for information you are authorized to collect, and clients only upload information they are authorized to share
- Content does not infringe third-party rights or violate these Terms
Workspace users are responsible for reviewing accepted files before opening, downloading, sharing, or relying on them.
6. Acceptable use
You may not, and may not allow others to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes
- Upload or distribute malware, ransomware, exploits, or other malicious code
- Attempt to bypass malware scanning, file-type restrictions, authentication, or access controls
- Probe, scan, or attack the Service, or interfere with its integrity or performance
- Access another workspace or account without authorization
- Collect or solicit sensitive data you are not authorized to receive
- Upload unlawful content, including content that exploits or endangers minors
- Send spam or abusive invitation or notification traffic through the Service
- Reverse engineer, scrape at abusive scale, or resell the Service except as expressly permitted
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in a way that is likely to deceive others
We may investigate suspected violations, remove Content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate access. Report suspected abuse through our abuse form or abuse@saffna.com.
7. File scanning and delivery
Uploaded files may be scanned for malware and evaluated against safety controls before they are accepted into a workspace inbox or delivered to a destination you configure. Files that fail these checks may be rejected and will not be treated as successful submissions.
Scanning and filtering are risk-reduction measures, not guarantees. Saffna does not warrant that every malicious, unwanted, corrupted, or non-compliant file will be detected or blocked.
If you enable Google Drive delivery, accepted files may be copied to folders you select using your connected Google account. You are responsible for maintaining that connection, choosing appropriate destinations, and complying with Google's terms.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers for functions such as authentication, hosting, storage, email delivery, and optional Google Drive integration. Your use of those providers may be subject to their own terms and policies. Saffna is not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Saffna or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use Saffna branding except as needed to identify your authorized use of the Service.
Feedback you provide may be used by Saffna without obligation or compensation to you.
10. Beta features and changes
We may offer experimental or beta features. Those features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be withdrawn. We may modify or discontinue the Service in whole or in part.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if needed to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Saffna DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that files will always be delivered successfully to third-party destinations.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Saffna AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO Saffna FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Saffna and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your Content; (b) your use of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; or (d) your infringement or violation of any third-party right.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where prohibited by applicable law.
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting legal@saffna.com.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by email. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
17. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional product-specific terms we present, are the entire agreement between you and Saffna regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
